About Scott

He is best known in amateur theatre as an international adjudicator, in a role that has seen him adjudicating no less than 7 British All-Winners Finals, 3 All-Ireland Athlone Finals, 4 British One Act Finals, 3 English Finals and the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Finals twice each.

He was also one of two (the other a Canadian) invited to adjudicate the prestigious World Festival of Amateur Theatre held every four years in Monte Carlo, where 24 countries from 5 continents presented their selected prize-winning plays.

Recently turning to play-writing, he has had immediate success. His first full length play, Home Boy Home, was produced professionally, touring a number of venues including the Opera House, Belfast. His second full length, The Threefold Chord has been published by Samuel French and his first one act to appear on the amateur festival circuit, Winnie’s Boy, won Best Actress, Best Director and Best Play for the Essex-based Bejou Players at the Thurrock Festival in 2011.

In September 2011 two of his one acts appeared at the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine – Winnie’s Boy and The Replacement, which he has been invited to direct.
